The rooms are decked out in dark purple and berry tones, with dark velvet and leather accents.

The hotel says rooms are designed to feel like a Paris apartment, and the decor delivers on that promise. From the front desk, it’s a short stroll through the casino to the guest elevators, which operate only with a valid room key. The lobby is small (no snaking lines here) and check-in is quick and easy. While there’s no obvious theme (see: Caesar’s Palace, the Venetian, Paris), there’s an underlying air of vintage glamour. With just 188 rooms, the Cromwell is one of the smallest hotels on the Strip. It’s a Vegas hotel that celebrates the best of Sin City but leaves out the worst. And it’s location, mid-Strip across from Caesars and near the Aria, can’t be beat.

And though it is attached to a casino, the gaming area is much smaller in scale, and the walk from the front door to the guest elevators takes fewer than three minutes. While most other Las Vegas hotels are behemoth buildings attached to staggeringly large casinos, which guests must trek through in order to reach their rooms, the Cromwell boutique hotel offers a much more intimate experience. In a city where everything is larger than life, ridiculously over the top, and, at times, almost comically extravagant, the Cromwell is a refreshing change.
